Purchasing & Usage Tips
- Size Up for a Better Fit: For a standard 55-gallon drum, we recommend purchasing a 60-gallon liner. This provides enough overhang to easily tie off the bag without stretching or tearing the material.
- Shelf Life Management: Unlike plastic, compostable liners expire. They have a shelf life of roughly 12–15 months. We recommend buying for current needs rather than stocking up for years. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat.
- Heat Sensitivity: While durable, compostable materials have a lower melting point than traditional plastic. Do not dump boiling liquids (like hot soup stock) directly into the liners. Allow liquids to cool slightly before filling.
